Cannot Connect to AHC Websites on Campus (DNS over https)

Problem: You are not able to access Hancock College websites from your personal device or AHC laptop, while using the campus network. You can access these sites from off campus. Example websites include, myHancock, and Printshop Pro.

Solution: You will need to change a setting on your web browser. Instructions are below for Chrome and Edge

Chrome (laptop)

  1. In your address bar, go to chrome://settings/security?search=dns
  2. Scroll down to the heading "Use secure DNS". Make sure this setting is disabled.

Chrome (Android phone)

  1. Open up Chrome.
  2. Click the three vertical dots in the top right. 
  3. Scroll down and click on "Settings"
  4. Click on "Privacy"
  5. Click on "Use secure DNS"
  6. Click the slider to disable


  1. In your address bar, go to edge://settings/privacy
  2. Scroll down to the Security section
  3. Click the slider next to "Use secure DNS to specify..." to disable this setting
