ITS processed 426 tickets during April 2026 while continuing preparations for the upcoming student Microsoft tenant merge occurring after commencement in May. ITS is also reminding users to remain cautious following the recent Instructure cybersecurity incident involving the group known as “ShinyHunters,” as follow-up phishing emails may attempt to exploit concern surrounding the breach. Any suspicious emails referencing the incident should be forwarded to phish@hancockcollege.edu and deleted.

Allan Hancock College will transition student Microsoft 365 accounts after commencement in May, requiring students to save all OneDrive and email data before May 22 to avoid permanent loss; employee accounts will not be affected. Additionally, all student loan Windows laptops must be turned in to the ITS Help Desk by May 22 for reconfiguration into the new environment to ensure continued functionality.
