ITS received 545 tickets in June, a 46.5% increase from May, with most location-based requests originating from the Santa Maria Campus and the “Something Broke” form remaining the most commonly used. Following the student Microsoft 365 tenant merge, reports from existing students have begun to decline, while ITS has expanded its troubleshooting guidance for macOS issues and is preparing additional in-person support for the start of the fall semester.
ITS processed 426 tickets during April 2026 while continuing preparations for the upcoming student Microsoft tenant merge occurring after commencement in May. ITS is also reminding users to remain cautious following the recent Instructure cybersecurity incident involving the group known as “ShinyHunters,” as follow-up phishing emails may attempt to exploit concern surrounding the breach. Any suspicious emails referencing the incident should be forwarded to phish@hancockcollege.edu and deleted.
