Roles and Responsibilities Allan Hancock College's Information Technology Services (ITS) department collaborates closely with the Admissions and Records and Human Resources departments to maintain up-to-date student records. This coordination ensures the effectiveness of our password reset function. It's important to note that ITS is not authorized to update personal information for students, staff, or faculty. For students, this responsibility falls to Admissions and Records, while Human Resources handles updates for staff and faculty.

Procedure for Students Students who find that their One-Time Password (OTP) verification notices are sent to an email ending in @no-password-reset-email, or to an account they can no longer access, likely do not have a password reset email address on file. To rectify this, you should:

  1. Contact Admissions and Records at extension 3248 to update your password reset email address or text message phone number. Note: This is not automatically linked to your financial aid email.
  2. Once your information is updated, if the 'reset forgotten password' function doesn't redirect the OTP to your correct email, reach out to ITS at extension 3345 or helpdesk@hancockcollege.edu for further assistance.

Procedure for Staff and Faculty Staff and Faculty encountering similar issues with OTP verification notices should:

  1. Contact Human Resources at extension 3338 to update your password reset email address or text message phone number.
  2. If the 'reset forgotten password' function doesn't work as expected after your information update, please get in touch with ITS at extension 3345 or helpdesk@hancockcollege.edu for further assistance.
