Updates to ithelp.hancockcollege.edu

Dear Allan Hancock College community,

 

We are pleased to announce that the design of ithelp.hancockcollege.edu will be updated in early June. While there are no new or updated articles at this time, the upcoming design changes will enhance the user experience, making it easier to navigate and find the information you need. Stay tuned for these exciting updates!

Implementing iPaaS through TeamDynamix for Allan Hancock College

We are excited to announce the implementation of Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) through TeamDynamix. This powerful tool will benefit various groups within the college in the following ways:

Faculty:

  • Simplified request processes for devices, software, and access needs, making it easier to prepare for new semesters.

Students:

  • Improved access to support services with more efficient ticketing and faster response times.

Administrative Staff:

  • Enhanced inventory management ensures that all necessary equipment and resources are available and well-maintained.

Classroom Maintenance Form


This summer, we received 10 responses regarding the Summer IT/AV Room Maintenance Form. If you haven't had a chance yet, please complete the form at your convenience to report any issues or request maintenance for a specific room over the summer. Banner Maintenance

May 28th:
Banner and Degree Works production may be unavailable due to the application of security updates. This maintenance is essential for security purposes and is not expected to affect Banner functionality.

June 6th:
Regular maintenance will continue. Please stay tuned for specific updates as the date approaches.

June 24th:
We will begin linking to the new Banner 9 class search on the public website, replacing the old Banner 8 class search. Here are the links for both:

Both sites will remain live; however, we will no longer direct students to Banner 8. Our focus will be on ensuring that the Banner 9 search is fully functional and accurate.

Updates from Technology Council and Committees

  • Web Services Committee
    • Schedule: Meetings are held bi-monthly, usually on the 1st Thursday, from 9:30-11:00 am.
    • Update: The email widget may receive some updates to improve functionality. Additionally a new 404 page has been created for pages that do not exist or have been removed:

  • Educational Technology Advisory Committee (EdTAC)
    • Schedule: Meetings are held bi-monthly, usually on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday, from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
    • Update: ClickShare was demonstrated in this months meeting. It allows for the wireless presentation of audio and video from any Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows, or ChromeOS device with a USB-C or USB-A port.
       
  • Banner Committee
    • Schedule: Meetings are held monthly, usually on the 2nd Monday, from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
    • Updates: Banner maintenance is scheduled on May 28th and June 6th. 
       
  • Technology Council
